Tuesday -- Create a poet's toolbox through a poetry exploration. Craft a "Righteous Found Poem" based on your definition of righteous using a few well-chosen tools from the poet's toolbox. Peer review and revisions.
Tuesday -- Formative "Righteous Found Poem" due today. Reflect: how does genre/text structure shift and shape meaning between your prose and poetic definition of righteous? Anne Frank anticipation guide/frontloading/background -- exploring what defines courage and character. Compare/contrast literary elements in a diary, story and play. Predict how meaning will shift from diary to play.
Thursday -- Preview Anne Frank vocab, assign roles for oral reading and complete Act I, Scene i-ii.
Mercer -- Science
This week we will be preparing for our end of semester exam on Thursday. Students created review sheets and can be accessed using the links that follow. It is highly recommended that they compare the information from all three periods in order to ensure the quality of the information:
Wakild -- Math
On Tuesday, we finished our posters and worked on our Review Handout from last week. Wednesday, we took our 1st semester exam. Thursday, we began Unit #5 - Exponents and Exponential Functions. In groups, we worked on the Inquiry Task below. There was only the Must Do and notes on Thursday.
