This week students continued working with probability. They discussed independent and dependent events. We practiced many scenarios and discussed the experimental and theoretical probability. We also discussed tree diagrams and histograms. Students will have their first round of math ISAT testing Moonday, May 9th at 8:50 a.m. Please make sure your child is well rested, has a good breakfast, on time and has plenty of snacks. Also last day to re-assess on the Geometry assessment is May 12th.

This week students spent some time gathering information about their chosen inquiry topic. Students were expected to complete the first two checkpoints on this research guide. On Thursday, we began a mini investigation into genetics. Students learned about the role of genes and alleles. Next week we will continue our investigation of genetics by looking into the laws of inheritance. Check out the links below to learn more.
