This week students understood the basic properties of inequalities. Students compared and contrasted the solutions of inequality signs such as x>2 and x≥2. We solved multi step equations and connected inequalities to real world situations. We also discussed solving equations with one, none, or infinite solutions.

This week the students focused on researching a severe weather phenomena in order to produce an informational page about the causes and consequences of severe weather. This assessment is due on Tuesday, January 19th. Many students were able to complete it during class time this week. Students, please remember to cite at least three sources using APA format. Next week, the students will take a cumulative summative assessment over the content from this semester. Students should spend some time review their words worth knowing and the concepts listed on
the review sheet linked above.

Over the past few weeks 7th grade artists have been working with identity and symbolism to create their own representational and/or nonrepresentational self portraits using cameras with the help of BSU photography student Sammi Laflam.
